Job responsibilities: 

  • Create visually compelling product videos using 3D animation, under the direction of a Creative Director, Art Director, and Project Manager.
  • Create and iterate concept art and designs for projects
  • See a project through all steps of the production pipeline (animation, lighting, textures, post-production, and editing)
  • Use storyboards to create animatics for a full length video with voiceover and/or music.
  • Create photorealistic renderings based on storyboards, client brand guidelines, and physical samples.
  • Collaborate with other artists to ensure a cohesive vision across a project.
  • Research subjects to ensure accurate animated representations.
  • Integrate feedback from the client and the internal art direction team.
  • Improve upon existing production processes and research new techniques/software.

Other Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of the following programs: 3DS Max or Maya and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator)
  • Able to work cross-functionally and collaborate within multi-departmental team
  • Organized and methodical with attention to detail.
  • Ability to pick up new programs and skills quickly as projects demand.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required
  • Demonstration of self sufficiency, self motivation and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Portfolios including medical and product animations are a plus
  • Knowledge of Zbrush is a plus
  • Storyboarding skills are a plus
  • 2D motion design skills are a plus

Education minimum requirement: Minimum 4-year degree in Digital Design or related field, 5 years working experience with 3D animation with a focus on product visualization
