Job responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients and peers to identify and understand challenges and explore and develop innovative engineering solutions
  • Take ownership of projects to ensure that product development deliverables are met
  • Solve difficult engineering challenges and deliver powerful innovations for global markets

Required Skill Sets:

  • CAD experience in SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, Creo/ProENGINEER and/or SolidEdge
  • DFM, DFA, and material selection
  • Prototype manufacturing, with experience building and debugging
  • Electromechanical product design, including the design of smart products
  • Tolerance analysis
  • Capability with hand calculations and free body diagrams
  • Experience in mechanism design
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Other Requirements:

  • Innovative with strong analytical problem solving and conceptual design skills
  • Experience in new product development  
  • Experience facilitating creative problem-solving sessions
  • Adaptability to changing project requirements and schedules
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships, impacting company sales and profitability
  • Excellent interpersonal, client communication, and project planning skills
  • Experience in medical device design helpful
  • Experience supervising projects and coordinating efforts of project team a plus
  • Organized and methodical with attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required
  • Past demonstration of self sufficiency/self motivation and able to work with minimal supervision

Education minimum requirement: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of related experience. We will also consider applicants with the equivalent combination of education, technical expertise, training, and work experience
