Abstract
Since its inception, Computed Tomography (CT), has developed from predominantly a medical application to include a variety of industrial and advanced scanning capabilities. This presentation will discuss advanced time-based imaging technologies and will include practical and advanced methods for solving design and manufacturing challenges using 3D CT Scanning. Time-based imaging, or 4D Industrial CT Scanning, allows you to non-destructively inspect parts over time, allowing the understanding of not just dimensional accuracy, but also dynamic fits, clearances, and component interaction, while optimizing quality inspection processes and enabling better corroboration of simulation results using real-time validation. Enterprise-level benefits of leveraging Dynamic CT imaging and analysis include: product costs savings, production optimization, time management, and non-destructive trial and error. This presentation will also cover:
- Investigation of internal geometry manipulation and inspection over time
